Agreement
These Terms of Sale are between you and Halo Softworks LLC, doing business as Bitfield Creek Labs, 33973 North Shawnee Ave, Grayslake, IL 60030 (“Bitfield Creek Labs”, “we”, “us”). By purchasing a license through bitfieldcreek.com, you agree to these Terms of Sale together with our End User License Agreement, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy.
If you do not agree, do not complete checkout. Trials, evaluation mode, and beta downloads are subject to the EULA and the limits described on each product page.
What you are buying
Each product is sold as a single one-time license for the current major version of the product listed at checkout (for example, 1.x). There are no tiers, subscriptions, or add-ons for new purchases. Unless stated otherwise on the product page:
- One license covers one product — Aura Wire AI Command Center or Aura Terran Knowledge — and includes the number of device activations shown at checkout
- Commercial use is included
- Updates within the purchased major version are included
- Future major versions may require a separate paid upgrade
- Licenses bought earlier under edition, module, or seat-based offers remain valid as purchased; nothing is removed
You receive a license key after successful payment. Activation requires an internet connection for initial validation; paid licenses may work offline afterward when a valid stored license exists, as described in product documentation.
Trial before purchase
Every new install starts a 14-day trial of the whole product — no card, no key. When the trial ends, one one-time purchase keeps the whole product; Aura Terran Knowledge otherwise continues in a limited evaluation mode. Nothing you created is deleted. The trial is not a purchase and is not covered by the Refund Policy.
License restrictions
Use of the Software is governed by the EULA. In summary:
- The trial and evaluation mode are for evaluation; evaluation mode is limited to personal, non-commercial use
- You may not share, resell, or sublicense keys beyond your purchased device activations
- You may not circumvent activation, trial limits, or other technical restrictions
Payment
Prices are shown in US dollars unless otherwise noted. Payment is processed by Stripe. You are responsible for any applicable taxes not collected at checkout.
Delivery
License keys are displayed on the checkout success page and may be emailed to the address provided during Stripe checkout. Save your key — you may need it to reinstall or activate on a new device.
Refunds
Refunds are described in our Refund Policy. When a full refund is issued, associated license keys are revoked.
Disclaimer
Software is provided as is to the extent permitted by law. Bitfield Creek Labs does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Local-first products depend on your hardware, network, and third-party services you configure. Additional warranty language appears in the EULA.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bitfield Creek Labs’s total liability for any claim arising from your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the license giving rise to the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes apply to new purchases after posting.
