User guides for Aura Wire AI Command Center, Aura Terran Knowledge, and the free tools Bitfield Ollama Agent and Halo Scan — what each one is, how to install and use it, what it stores and sends, and how to remove it completely.
Products
- Aura Wire AI Command Center The Windows command center for any IDE, CLI, SDK, or app. Capture covers other tools’ chat. The installer can add an optional editor extension. What it is, how to use it, what it stores, how to remove it.
- Aura Terran Knowledge A Windows application that indexes your documents on your PC and serves that context to AI tools through MCP, a local API, or passthrough. What it is, how to use it, what it stores and sends, and how to remove it.
Free tools
- Bitfield Ollama Agent A free command-line agent for local Ollama models — install with npm, run tasks in a project folder, optionally serve an OpenAI-compatible endpoint or route through Aura Wire. Also included inside Aura Wire AI Command Center as a built-in provider. What it writes, and how to remove it.
- Halo Scan A free read-only MCP server for codebase Q&A — install with npm, attach to Bitfield Ollama Agent or any MCP host, or enable Enhanced tools inside Aura Wire AI Command Center. What it reads, and how to remove it.
Using Wire and Terran together
Chat through Wire — or Capture your editor’s own chat on Windows — for live cost and traffic. Index once in Terran and let Wire pull relevant passages into each chat — or keep using Terran’s MCP and passthrough when that fits better. Each product works alone, and the connection between them stays on your machine over loopback.
Privacy and data, in short
Both products are local-first: your work stays on your machine. Aura Wire AI Command Center processes your prompts in memory and keeps only sanitized metadata (provider, model, tokens, latency, cost estimates) in its local records; your chat history is saved by the extension on your machine. Aura Terran Knowledge indexes the folders you choose on your PC and does not upload them. Neither product sends prompts, documents, or API keys to Bitfield Creek Labs.
What does leave your machine: requests to the AI providers you configure (under their terms), a one-time license or trial registration, update checks against our release feed, and a small set of de-identified operational events (install, a daily active ping or session timing, version, OS, random identifier). Each guide lists these exactly under Privacy and data, and each has a What installs, and how to remove it section so you can uninstall without leftovers. The full Privacy Policy covers the website and checkout as well.
Licensing & trials
No account is needed to install either product. New installs start a 14-day trial of the whole product on first use — no key, no card. After the trial, each product is a single one-time purchase for the current major version. When the Aura Terran Knowledge trial ends the app drops to a limited evaluation mode (one knowledge base, up to 3 root folders, inbound MCP) — nothing is deleted. Aura Wire AI Command Center’s Observe and pipeline stages need the trial or the purchased license. Activate a purchased key under Settings → License in each app.
