Refund Policy

Our approach

Bitfield Creek Labs (Halo Softworks LLC) sells downloadable software with one-time licenses. We want you to be confident in your purchase. If the product does not work as described and we cannot resolve the issue, we will make it right — including a refund when appropriate.

14-day refund window

You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if:

You have not successfully activated the license on more devices than a reasonable evaluation would require, and
You contact us with your checkout email or session reference and a brief explanation

Each product is a single one-time license, so a refund covers the whole purchase. For earlier multi-seat orders, refunds apply to the full order unless we agree to a partial adjustment in writing.

After 14 days

Because licenses are delivered digitally at purchase, refunds after 14 days are generally not available except where required by law or at our discretion for exceptional circumstances (billing errors, duplicate charges, etc.).

What happens when we refund

We process the refund through Stripe to your original payment method
Associated license keys are revoked automatically
Partial refunds leave the license active unless we specify otherwise

Trials, evaluation mode, and beta software

The 14-day trial and Aura Terran Knowledge’s post-trial evaluation mode do not require a purchase, so there is nothing to refund — try the whole product before you buy. Paid checkout for products marked beta or unreleased is not offered on the site until those products exit beta or launch.

How to request a refund

Email contact@bitfieldcreek.com or open a support ticket with:

The email used at checkout
Your Stripe receipt or checkout session id (shown on the success page)
The product and reason for the request

We aim to respond within a few business days.
