Why use this?
Halo Scan gives an AI model a small, intentional toolset for answering questions about a working directory: orient first (repo overview, conventions, entrypoints), then navigate by symbols and structure instead of dumping whole files. Paths stay inside the workspace; there are no writes, no test runners, and no secret values from env files. Attach it to Bitfield Ollama Agent or any MCP host over stdio — or flip on Enhanced tools in Aura Wire AI Command Center and the same package is already bundled in the extension.

Install
- Install Halo Scan: npm install -g @bitfieldcreek/halo-scan
- Point an MCP host at: halo-scan --cwd /path/to/repo
- Or try once: npx @bitfieldcreek/halo-scan --cwd .
- With Bitfield Ollama Agent: bf-agent --mcp "halo-scan --cwd ."
